Most "best baby tracker app" lists are written for one phone. This one is for two. Which baby tracker apps share with a partner for free, what each costs, growth charts, widgets, and whether the record ever reaches your pediatrician.
TL;DR
A baby tracker app used by one parent needs to be fast. One used by two needs to be trustworthy: when you pick up your phone at 3 a.m., you need to know whether the last feed was your log or your partner's, and whether it synced. Five things decide that:
Prices are US, as listed in app stores and official pages at the time of writing. They change often; treat them as a starting point, not a quote.

The default choice for a reason. Logging is fast, the free tier includes caregiver sync, and the design is calm at 3 a.m. What you pay for is sleep: SweetSpot predicts the next nap from your baby's own pattern, and Premium adds a written sleep plan and an AI assistant. If sleep is your problem and you are willing to pay about $60 a year, this is the safe pick.
Best for: parents whose main problem is sleep and who want nap predictions and a sleep plan built in, and are fine paying for them. Sharing is free, so both of you log to one timeline from day one.
Made by Nighp Software, the oldest app on this list and still the most complete free tracker. Ads are the price of free; $4.99 once removes them. It tracks everything, charts everything, and asks nothing of you. Sharing works by signing both phones into the same account, which is simple but fragile, and recent reviews mention sync bugs worth checking before you commit.
Best for: parents who want everything free, do not mind ads or a $4.99 unlock, and are comfortable sharing one login between two phones. Not for anyone who needs the record to reach a clinician.
Polished, part of the Glow family of fertility and pregnancy apps, so if you used Glow Nurture it feels familiar. The catch for couples: caregiver sharing is a Premium feature, as is export. Solo logging is free; the moment a second phone needs to see the data you are paying around $70 a year, or more for the family plan.
Best for: parents already using Glow for fertility or pregnancy who want continuity, and are willing to pay for Premium so a second caregiver can log.
Different idea: a physical button box on the nightstand. Press once for a feed, once for a diaper, no phone needed in the dark. The app syncs and both parents see it. The hardware was the point, and at the time of writing Talli has paused production, so check availability before planning around it. The app alone is a reasonable free tracker with a modest Premium tier.
Best for: parents who hate phones at night and can get hold of the button device. Without the hardware, pick one of the apps above.
Ours, so weigh this accordingly. Heartful Baby started as a health tool, not a logbook. It was built with pediatric care providers so that what you track at home is the same thing your pediatrician, lactation consultant, or doula wants to see: growth on WHO and CDC curves, adjusted for preemies, CDC milestones, the AAP vaccine schedule, first foods with allergen flags, and feeds, sleep, and diapers against the ranges that matter for your baby's age.
If you are the parent who wants to know, not guess: is the weight gain okay, is that enough wet diapers, is she on track for rolling, when is the next shot due. Heartful Baby puts the answer next to the number, so a 2 a.m. worry becomes a quick look instead of a search. And it asks how you are doing every day, because your health is part of your baby's.
The free tier covers all eight trackers, nap prediction, and widgets, in English and Spanish. The paid tier ($5/mo, $35/yr, or $60 lifetime) adds caregiver sharing, growth percentiles, and the visit report, and is included when your provider connects.
Best for: parents who want the full picture of their baby's health in one place, and want to feel sure, not just organized. See how it works.
Whichever you pick, set it up before the baby arrives, add your partner the same day, and put the widget on both lock screens. The app that gets used is the one that is already open.
Huckleberry and Baby Tracker both let two parents log to one timeline on their free tiers. Glow Baby and Heartful Baby put shared logging in the paid tier, though Heartful Baby includes it when a pediatrician, lactation consultant, or doula connects to your family.
Most apps let you invite your partner to the baby's profile from settings. They get their own login, and everything either of you logs shows up on both phones with a name attached. Huckleberry, Glow Baby, and Heartful Baby all work this way. Baby Tracker is the exception: you both sign in with the same email and password, which is quicker to set up but breaks if either of you changes it.
Baby Tracker is free with ads and a one-time $4.99 unlock. Heartful Baby's free tier has no ads and no time limit; the paid tier is optional, with a one-time lifetime option.
Baby Tracker and Heartful Baby support multiple baby profiles under one account. Check that your partner's device shows both babies before relying on it.
Most export a PDF or CSV you bring to a visit. Heartful Baby is the one built so a connected clinician sees the record in their own dashboard, with growth on WHO and CDC curves and a one-page visit report.
Share this with your care team
Your pediatrician, doula, night nurse, or lactation consultant sees your baby for minutes a week; you see every feed and nap. Heartful Baby was built so they can see what you see. Ask whether they use Heartful Sprout, and if not, send them to heartfulsprout.com/clinicians. We make it easy for clinicians who reach out to get set up with their families.
